• Highly constrained financial budgets requiring innovative and highly productive approaches
• Loss of relevant knowledge over time

In each case, DBD has delivered vital contributions including the choice of fit-for-purpose technologies, appropriate contract strategies and effective application of the radioactive waste hierarchy to both minimise waste disposal costs and environmental impact.

We also ensure that our decommissioning work avoids unnecessary conflict with the need always to deliver comprehensive nuclear waste characterisation and the subsequent implementation of cost effective waste management strategies.
